Hey everyone,
Steve asked me to maintain the Blog postings so that it could be a little more consistent and timely. Of course he will still be posting things periodically but I'll be doing a weekly posting that can keep everyone chatting in a current entry. Soooooooo, this is the first one! :)
Eph 3:14-19 When I think of the wisdom and scope of God's plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit. And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now glory be to God! By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope. May he be given glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever through endless ages. Amen.
Hi everyone, this passage makes me speechless. These are Paul's words but it is truly God's desire that we could be completed in this way and even more that we would encourage eachother to pursue this path. Can you imagine if we all fell to our knees when we thought of the wisdom and scope of God's plan? What a glorious thing for God to see us doing. Praise the Lord!!

hey sarah, thanks for the encouraging scripture. I know for myself, that i often forget how much God loves me and how he wants so much for me. I was reading my bible sunday morning and just came across a lot of things that need to be a part of my life. James1:2-4 "When troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow." i think we often look to struggles, challenges, and big decisions that we need to make as just added stress in our lives. Instead, we should be filled with joy that God has placed these obstacles in our lives so that we can prove our faith and love for him when we pray for his help. That is a huge part of my walk with God that i need to improve on.
i think this verse is amazing. thanks for posting it sarah. "then you will be filled with the fulness of life and power that comes from God" i mean really do we experience that on a daily basis? i know i cant emphatically raise my hand. i encourage us all to let Christ in to every room, nook and cranny in our lives. we will never be the same.
hi guys,
I'm finally home, missing the snow and -6 degree tempatures i woke up to two days ago as it is pouring down rain outside. I want to thank you all for being so encouraging and loving. The heart of Christ is so evident in your lives and being with all of you reminds me of the depth of the Lord's love in my life. Thank you all for being so welcoming to not only me but also my mom. She really enjoyed church and chatting with everyone and I am excited to see where it is the Lord takes our relationship together as well as individually with the Lord. As I was reading today in Mark 10:28-31, I was reminded of the family the Lord gives us among believers. I am blessed by the ways in which I see the Lord healing each of you and making you family and I praise Him for allowing me to be a part of this.
Love and miss you all.
See you soon

Toni this area is such a gap in my life too that I need to fill with the Lord's wisdom and not my own.
Expanding on Ian's comment, I came across 1Cor7:20,24 this morning and it has been bouncing around my head all day. "You should continue on as you were when God called you...So, dear brothers and sisters, whatever situation you were in when you became a believer, stay there in your new relationship with God."
At first I thought Paul was reminding us of our guilt, but as I spent more time on this I think what he means is that we should come to the Lord every day as we did on that first one: on our knees asking him to come into every part of our lives and fill us up with his Spirit. When we first became believers we wanted every bit of the Lord and all that He had to give, a sentiment that is often neglected during the standstill or low points in our spiritual lives.
I think this is a prayer for a lot of us, that we need to slightly adjust the attitude we have towards God.
